L’Afko Fait Son Show 

The fourth edition of L’Afko Fait Son Show is back for a fun-filled night of music, laughter, and games. Taking place at the Royal on March 10, the two-part event features rock’n’roll bingo and a live performance from Les Chiclettes, a French musical comedy troupe. Shred Kelly Mountain Pop Up 

Head over to the Nelson Visitor Centre on March 12 from 4-7pm for a free evening of live music, set outside surrounded by the picturesque mountains. Alternative folk band Shred Kelly is headlining, with support from Miesha & The Spanks and Lady Fingers. Don’t miss it! All ages are welcome. 

Generational Echoes 

This exhibition, launching on March 11 at the Touchstones Nelson Museum of Art and History, presents a series that surveys generational narratives surrounding the Japanese Canadian internment. Generational Echoes is created by Toronto-based multimedia artist Emma Nishimura, who works with everything from traditional etchings and drawing to audio pieces and art installations, and addresses “ideas of memory and loss that are rooted within family stories and inherited narratives.” Admission is free.
